Victor Mete’s grandfather killed in HORRIFYING mass shootout in Vaughan, NHL expresses condolences to victimized families

Toronto Maple Leafs’ defenceman Victor Mete’s grandfather was brutally murdered in the recent Vaughan mass shootout. Vittorio Panza 79-year-old became a victim of a lunacy conspiracy along with five other members. The police recently uncovered details about the victims.
The horrifying incident took place on Sunday in Vaughan, Ontario. York regional police recently released the names of victims including Panza, the rest being Rita Camilleri (71), Russel Manock (75), Lorraine Manock (71), and Naveed Dada (59).
In a statement the Maple Leafs’ said, “The Toronto Maple Leafs are shocked and saddened by the tragic shooting that took place in Vaughan this past Sunday”. “Our hearts go out to Victor and his family, to all the families and friends of those affected, and to the local community.”

Teammates and coach came forward to express their condolences after Tuesday’s match against Tampa Bay Lighting at Scotiabank Arena. The team won in a 4-1 victory, but prior to the game, a moment of silence was maintained to mourn for the victims’ deaths.
Leafs’ coach Sheldon Keefe noted, “I haven’t seen [Mete]. I just learned about it this afternoon”. “Obviously our thoughts are with him and his family. It hits a little closer to home now obviously because we know Victor, but it’s such a tragic thing.”
“We’re thinking of everybody. All the families that are impacted by this. It’s incredibly tragic. We’re thinking of Victor and his family right now.” While Auston Matthews said, “Obviously our condolences go out to Victor and everyone that was affected”.
“It’s really sad. I’m not sure what else to say other than our hearts go out to Victor and everyone else involved that’s affected.” Mete who is a Leafs player is in his 7th NHL season. Prior to joining the Leafs, he was a part of the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators.
After signing a 1-year contract with the Leafs, he recorded a score of 2 assists in 11 games. Unfortunately, he was on the IL after suffering a lower-body injury in a game against the Dallas Stars. In the recent mass murder news, it was also revealed that there was another victim, but they survived and are in a critical state.
The police shoot the gunman at the scene, according to NHL.com. On Wednesday in a statement, the Canadiens said, “Our hearts go out to Victor Mete and his family on the loss of his grandfather, as well as to the loved ones of all victims of the tragic violence that took place in Vaughan”.
“The hockey world is with you and ready to support you during this difficult time.” Recently on Friday, Mete posted on his social media, “On behalf of my entire family, I would like to say thank you to everyone for their condolences, prayers, and support during this terrible time.”
