“This is fake,” Former WWE Women’s Champion reacts to Asuka thanking her for flowers 

Asuka was enjoying her time as the Women’s Tag Team Champion with Kairi Sane until they were hit by a storm. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair emerged victorious, bringing an end to their title reign after a solid 99 days at Backlash in France. Two days later, on Raw, it was reported that The Empress of Tomorrow had suffered a knee injury. Many superstars, including the newly crowned Queen, Nia Jax, sent good wishes to her.

The 42-year-old veteran took to social media and expressed gratitude to Nia Jax for the flowers she received during her recovery in the hospital. Jax responded to her in a heelish manner, saying that the flowers were fake, but fans knew her feelings were real. Both superstars have been involved in multiple matches against each other, but they share a healthy relationship off-camera.

Asuka was supposed to participate in the Queen of the Ring tournament, but she was pulled out due to an injury. Her fellow Damage CTRL member, Dakota Kai, took her place but unfortunately got eliminated by Lyra Valkyria in the first round of the tournament. Ahead of her absence, she shared an emotional post with all her fans about her injury on social media.

Meanwhile, The Irresistible Force steamrolled the competition in the Queen of the Ring tournament and became the second-ever Queen. She has now earned a chance to win the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. It will be interesting to see whether she walks away as the new champion or if Bayley retains her title in the biggest event of the summer.

WWE veteran Dutch Mantell expressed his opinion on the segment involving Nia Jax and Michin

Nia Jax has done nothing but wreak havoc since her comeback in WWE. After she became the Queen of the Ring, she had a rivalry with Michin and even had a backstage segment. However, during the heated segment, The Irresistible Force slipped on the drink spilt by the 35-year-old. Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell talked about how the whole segment played out.

While speaking on Smack Talk, the 74-year-old veteran appreciated the refreshing change of Michin throwing drinks in her face. Moreover, he stated that both women performed admirably, and the segment unfolded seamlessly. Michin hasn’t wrestled much since her return to the main roster, but a feud with Jax could solidify her place on the main roster.

The backstage segment, it adds so much to that show. It was not long, they just make a point and they get out of it. Nia Jax, I didn’t expect the drink in the face. Weren’t conditioned at all. Punch or something [is fine] but a drink in the face, I can’t believe they did that. It makes me want to see more between them. So again, I think every segment in that worked. Every segment.

While Jax will have to wait until SummerSlam for her title match, Michin could win a title at NXT Battleground. She will participate in the 6-woman ladder match for the new NXT Women’s North American Championship. Only time will tell whether she wins the title and becomes the first-ever superstar to hold it or not.
