Professional wrestlers put their bodies on the line every single week to entertain fans. Unfortunately, things end up going terribly sometimes, and the performers can suffer from minor or even serious injuries. Nia Jax recently got busted open during the main event of SmackDown and showed the aftermath of it on her social media.
Nia Jax posted a selfie on her Instagram story shortly after the latest episode of SmackDown went off the air. The photo featured the WWE Women’s Champion bleeding from the top of her head. From the caption, she seemed pretty irritated upon suffering these battle scars.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, Jax teamed up with her new friend, Candice LeRae, to challenge Bianca Belair and Naomi. Following Jade Cargill‘s injury, the former TNA Knockouts champion had stepped in to act as a replacement for the Storm. The match also featured plenty of interference from Tiffany Stratton.
The babyfaces were able to overcome the odds, and Naomi ended up landing a split-legged moonsault on LeRae to pin her and retain the championship. Jax got her scars during this main event. However, it is unclear when exactly she started bleeding.
Dutch Mantell claims that Nia Jax was overexposed at Survivor Series: WarGames
Nia Jax faced a lot of backlash for her performance at Survivor Series: WarGames. She was brutally trolled for her weak chair shots, and fans regarded this as one of her worst performances since she returned to the company late last year. These negative comments also led to her deactivating her X account.
Speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantel, the wrestling veteran said that the match duration was too long for the Irresistible Force. She had never had a match in her career that spanned over 30 minutes. Even if they wanted to try it, doing so at a PLE was a terrible choice.
Putting her out in such a long match at one of the big 4 PLEs overexposed her. This plan terribly backfired on WWE. Furthermore, the promotion had decided to insert her into the match early on, instead of utilizing someone who had experience in such a domain.
