SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has been dealing with Chelsea Green and her antics ever since she got drafted to the blue brand. It is no easy task to manage the 33-year-old, and things might have become even worse for the former NWA Champion now that her husband is involved in the mix as well.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Meta-Four. Green, alongside her partner, Piper Niven, were also present at ringside. The competitors got into a brawl at ringside, and the Canadian ate a kick to her face.
This sent her rolling over the announcers’ table and falling straight into Michael Cole‘s lap. Seeing this clip, her husband, Matt Cardona, called SmackDown an unsafe working environment. The show’s general manager has now finally responded to these remarks.
Needless to say, this is not the first time that Green has had such a negative interaction with Nick Aldis. The Hot Mess can often be seen camping outside of his office to make her demands. When the 37-year-old rejects them like he usually does, she is not afraid to throw a tantrum.
Recently, Green even said that she would file a complaint against Aldis for not taking her complaints seriously. The SmackDown General Manager may finally be beginning to see why Adam Pearce was elated after the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was drafted away from Raw.
Wrestling veteran Stevie Richards believe WWE may be punishing Chelsea Green because of her husband, Matt Cardona
Chelsea Green married Matt Cardona on New Year’s Eve 2021 in Las Vegas. The couple shares an extremely loving relationship and seem very happy with each other. However, according to Stevie Richards, Green’s success in her personal life may be causing her trouble in her professional life.
Speaking on Vince Russo’s The Brand Podcast, Richards said that Green possessed everything that one needed to be a superstar. She was great in the ring; she was no longer injury-prone and can take bumps, such as being power-bombed through a table into a dumpster. The only reason that he could think of for her not getting a push was the political aspect of wrestling environments.
Green has been nowhere near the main event picture throughout her entire time in WWE. She has incredible comedic timing and does great character work. However, it has not led her anywhere in the Stamford-based promotion. Meanwhile, her husband, Matt Cardona, has won gold in almost every promotion he went to, been on the covers of wrestling magazines, and put on stellar matches all across the globe.
