Backlash was an explosive event. The crowd was hotter than ever as WWE showcased a spectacle in Lyon, France. The show kicked off with a banger match between The Bloodline and the team of Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. However, the action was so intense that it was hard for the referees and officials to keep the stars in the ring. Therefore, it forced Nick Aldis to make a major change during the live show.

As soon as the bell rang, the stars involved went after each other. It turned into a brawl quickly, which led to security guards rushing to the ring. Nick Aldis came in to save the day, as he announced that the match would take place under no disqualification rules. He made it a Street Fight, which was an impromptu decision by the SmackDown GM.

The stipulation quickly elevated the dynamics of the match. It was apparent that the ruthlessness of the wrestlers escalated into chaos. There were many spots where the brutality peaked, such as Tama Tonga beating the hell out of the Prizefighter with a kendo stick. Kevin Owens also tried to fight back with an amazing Swanton through a table.

Also, during the match, Tonga’s brother, Tanga Loa, made a shocking appearance. It was a nice touch of brutal warfare. Owens went through a bunch of chairs, delivering a brain-buster in the third act of the match. After a hellacious war, The Bloodline walked out victorious over R-KO in the light of France.
