After a victory against AJ Styles at Backlash, Cody Rhodes was eager to know his next opponent. As such, SmackDown GM announced that his next challenger will be none other than the United States Champion Logan Paul. After their meeting in the ring, the British manager sent a message to The American Nightmare on social media.
Nick Aldis took to X and shared two pictures of him with Cody Rhodes. One was of the two shaking hands on the latest episode of SmackDown. The other was them having a go at each other. For those unaware, Aldis and Cody Rhodes have wrestled in a match before in the promotion called NWA. The American Nightmare defeated his adversary to win the NWA Heavyweight Champion.
This was a nice callback by the 41-year-old manager, showcasing their journey from indie wrestling to WWE. Speaking of the challenger, Rhodes and Logan Paul agreed to a Champion vs. Champion match with a Winner Take All stipulation. The 38-year-old star expressed his desire to win both belts at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE.

Meanwhile, The Maverick was not seen after the biggest win of his career at WrestleMania XL. The two superstars will be in the same ring during the contract signing of their match next week. It will be interesting to see who becomes the double champion at the event held in Saudi Arabia.
Fans react to Nick Aldis’ message to Cody Rhodes
The British manager’s message to The American Nightmare certainly caught the attention of the WWE Universe. While some fans were excited about the message and demanded to see him wrestle, others didn’t even know Nick Aldis had wrestled before.
One fan expressed his desire to see Rhodes and Aldis wrestle again in WWE. Another fan had a different storyline in mind: they wanted to see a battle between two general managers, with The American Nightmare training Aldis. Here are some of the top reactions from fans:
