Nick Aldis could impose a huge punishment on a former Universal Champion for using the Piledriver on Randy Orton last week.

Last week’s SmackDown witnessed the wrath of Kevin Owens when he dismantled Randy Orton. The Prizefighter crossed all the limits when he delivered a vicious ‘Piledriver’ to The Viper. Therefore, this week, the SmackDown GM might impose a punishment on Owens for his actions.
There is a possibility that Nick Aldis could reprimand Owens for delivering a banned move to a star like Orton. As The Apex Predator is now hospitalized, Aldis could suspend Owens for the next few weeks from SmackDown. In fact, he could even impose a heavy fine on the Canadian superstar, having done so to multiple stars in the past.
WWE has been building Owens as a legitimate threat on SmackDown. As such, having him suspended could fuel his character arc. Moreover, The Prizefighter could retaliate to this decision by the SmackDown GM, further intensifying the dynamics between the two.

It seems that WWE has sidelined Randy Orton from television for a few weeks. Therefore, having the former Universal Champion suspended could fill up the gap before The Legend Killer’s eventual return. Furthermore, this angle can also pave the way for an authority vs. Owens feud down the line on SmackDown.
Can Kevin Owens face Randy Orton at Survivor Series: WarGames?
Kevin Owens and Randy Orton have been embroiled in an intense feud for almost a month. They were expected to clash at Crown Jewel; however, their match ended in a no contest after the two men brawled. Therefore, there is a possibility that they might finally collide at Survivor Series later this month.

Although the prospect of Owens vs. Orton is intriguing, the chances of it happening at Survivor Series are relatively low. There is a possibility that now that The Viper is out of the picture, Owens could go up against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
It needs to be noted that The Prizefighter’s heel turn stemmed from his issues with Rhodes, not Orton. Hence, the two stars could finally collide at the Survivor Series with the Undisputed Championship on the line. Meanwhile, The Apex Predator could recover from his injury.
Moreover, WWE has a chance to book a blockbuster match between Orton and Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event. In fact, Triple H can also stretch this feud up to the Royal Rumble next year.
