Nick Chubb has done enough to show the Cleveland Browns that he deserves to earn another major contract. Returning from a gruesome injury he suffered last season, he was part of the struggling offense that has not been able to do much all season.
To make matters worse, he has rushed for his worse statistics in the eight games he played this season. Not the ideal situation in a contract year. But that does not take away the fact that the offensive line has struggled all season, and the Browns have flatlined as an offense.
He even stated his desire to retire as a Cleveland Browns player whenever that time comes. However, during their 7-21 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15, the situation was made even more difficult when he suffered what could potentially be another season ending injury. Head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed the unfortunate news to reporters at the post-game press conference.

Stefanski did not give further details on the timeline for his return, but it his words suggest his running back will be shut down for the season. This marks the second major injury for the four-time Pro Bowler in a span of two years. Not the ideal situation he would have wanted to be with his contract expiring after this season.
Kevin Stefanski has high praise for Nick Chubb
Nick Chubb has always been the consummate professional when it comes to a football player. Never has he voiced his frustrations or taken the high road as some other players.
Stefanski was pointing out to the extreme professionalism Nick Chubb has shown in his seven seasons with the Cleveland Browns. When healthy and behind a decent offensive line, the former All-Pro is one of the best running backs in the league.
Lately, teams in the NFL have undermined those backfield players. How the Browns proceed with Chubb’s contract is something that will show out once the season is over, but first he will have to recover to full health.
