I have a competing player question. I think Nick Kyrgios and myself might be asking for a wildcard into doubles of your event here in a few months. Would that be something that you’d consider or should I not even [bother]. I’m trying to put you on the spot right now.

Jack Sock said on the Nothing Major podcast

Blake, a former World No. 4, was surprised upon being asked the question. He gave the ‘diplomatic answer’ that he would give a thought to this. Kyrgios has played doubles matches and even won the 2022 Australian Open with compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis.

The Australian pair defeated Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in straight sets to win the title. In Grand Slam singles, however, the former World No. 13 performed his best when he reached the summit clash of the 2022 Wimbledon, which he lost to Novak Djokovic.
