Almost two years after they faced off in the Wimbledon final, Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic were seen on the London lawns again as the resurgent Australian had some fun with the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
The two rivals-turned-friends were seen dabbling in some trick shots and engaging in friendly banter as Djokovic prepared for his third-round match against another Australian, Alexei Popyrin, that will happen on July 6th on the Centre Court. Djokovic imitated some of Kyrgios’ common trick shots and also flexed his creations.
I know your moves. You're just too good.Kyrgios can be heard applauding Djokovic’s skills with the racket
Kyrgios has flown to Wimbledon this week to lend his expertise to the commentary box and for other media coverages. He has been actively participating in the commentary scene and also had a podcast of his own called ‘Good Trouble With Nick Kyrgios’, where he has already interviewed Djokovic.

The fiery player has provided his fans with positive signs as he has recently started hinting at a return to the professional circuit. His light practice with Djokovic reinforced this notion even more and may indicate that he will be returning sooner rather than later.
Nick Kyrgios and Tim Henman cheekily imply that Novak Djokovic extended his second-round match to ‘help the tournament’
Novak Djokovic’s second-round match against British wildcard Jacob Fearnley saw an unexpected turn in the third set when Fearnley, ranked 277, managed to win a set against the World No.2. Until that point, Djokovic had established his dominance and was on his way to a straight-set win with an early break in the third. However, Fearnley harnessed some magic as he pushed the great Serb to his limits before bowing out 5-7 in the fourth set.
In a discussion with BBC after the match, Nick Kyrgios and Tim Henman jokingly mentioned that Djokovic may have thrown the third set to help the tournament organizers.
Maybe Novak knows that deep down. Maybe he does.Kyrgios agreed with the BBC host as she mentioned that Djokovic finishing his match late was convenient for the fans
He's almost trying to help the tournament, he's a member of the club.Henman added to the implication that Djokovic knew what he was doing
Had Djokovic’s match ended early, Andy Murray’s doubles match partnering his brother Jamie would have been played at the same time as the all-English clash between Jack Draper and Cameron Norrie, which would’ve been inconvenient for the British audience.
