Tua Tagovailoa and his Miami Dolphins have struggled to a 1-5 record this season. In the midst of that run, the quarterback’s demeanor has become a matter of controversy.
In the first few games, it was his inability to throw accurate passes that caught everyone by surprise. So much so that leading wide receiver Tyreek Hill even vented his frustrations after an overthrown pass ended their chances of a win.
Hill tried to avoid answering questions aimed at causing more noise, but his quarterback was at his deflective best. Tagovailoa disregarded criticism about his play and believed he was better off not listening to social media critics.
Then, after their latest loss, the Hawaiian set the internet on fire after seemingly throwing his teammates under the bus. He believed players were not showing their intentions after being late to meetings.
Those comments produced enough fire to bring negative attention to the franchise. A couple of days later, Tua Tagovailoa publicly apologized to his teammates for saying those things in the heat of the moment.
I’m proud of the way he handled that situation… I was really shocked that Tua did what he did when he threw some guys under the bus… You don’t say that about your teammates. But I really was proud of the way he came back, sort of took accountability for his mistake.

The former Alabama head coach is happy that his former player straightened things out with his teammates. After the furor it caused, this was the right thing to do.
Mike Florio believes Dolphins need to give Tua Tagovailoa better supporting cast
Nick Saban did mention that maybe Tua Tagovailoa felt some players needed to get called out for their lack of effort. Mike Florio, while on Pro Football Talk, believes the Miami Dolphins have not helped in that matter.

You drop Tua with a competent supporting cast. You do the things Tua does well. Tua could be a guy who has a strong second act somewhere else.
Mike Florio said
Even though Tagovailoa had one of the best receiver groups in the league, that is, until Tyreek Hill’s season-ending injury, Florio believes other areas have become a problem for the Alabama QB.

He believes the Dolphins could have done a better job this offseason and assembled a roster that would have given its maximum effort in games. If that were to happen, all these narratives would not have existed.
Tyreek Hill misses playing football
After Tyreek Hill blew out his knee, many wondered if the Miami Dolphins were about to throw in the towel. However, they have soldiered on, and the team is looking at its backup receivers to step up.
The Super Bowl champion has started his long recovery. If it goes as per plan, the football world should see him return to burn the gridiron again next season. But that return will take a full year, and that is affecting the 31-year-old.
Ya’ll want to know something crazy. I miss playing on Sundays.

The Georgia native’s body language seemingly confirms that he is disheartened not being able to lace up and catch passes. He will have to wait for approval from doctors before getting back on the field.
