In a high-stakes moment that defined Super Bowl LIX, NFL Films captured a beautiful and powerful moment shared between head coach Nick Sirianni and Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore. Amid the night filled with impressive plays by the Philadelphia Eagles, a clip has surfaced online showcasing the brilliance of Sirianni and Moore’s offensive strategies.

In the third quarter of the Super Bowl LIX, with the Eagles already leading at 27-0, Sirianni envisioned a play that would deliver a crushing blow to the Kansas City Chiefs, who had yet to score. So, when Philly got their hands on the ball, Sirianni implored his offensive coordinator, “If we score, it’s over. Just call it.”

Capitalizing on the Chiefs’ defensive weakness, the Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts connected with wide receiver DeVonta Smith on a deep bomb that not only showcased his arm strength but resulted in a 50-yard touchdown score.

The game was already over, even if not officially. Every Eagles fan and analyst felt that, but the Chiefs sting to the glimmer of hope of making the comeback. However, they could only manage 22 points in the remaining time of the game and lost the match with a drastic 40-22 difference.

Sirianni’s confidence in Moore was quite evident throughout the game since his offensive strategies made the Eagles one of the top offenses of the league throughout the 2024 season. They continued the same momentum in the postseason that advanced them to the Super Bowl LIX, eventually winning their only second Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history and thwarting Patrick Mahomes’ quest for an unprecedented third consecutive title.

Kellen Moore reflects on Eagles’ championship journey with Nick Sirianni

Unfortunately, Sirianni and Moore’s duo was limited to only one season as the former accepted the position of the head coach in the New Orleans Saints. Although the Eagles head coach hasn’t commented on the news, Moore has nothing but good things to say about him at his introductory press conference.

I want to thank every coach, teammate, player, and mentor that helped me along this way… especially Philadelphia Eagles. Each and every one of these people shaped me, [and] allowed me to become the coach that I am, specifically in Philadelphia: Jeffrey Lurie, Howie Roseman, and Nick Sirianni. Thank you for the opportunity to win a world championship with you.

Kellen Moore said

Unlike his previous teams, the Saints present the biggest challenge for the former Offensive Coordinator to execute a turnover but he is confident for the new beginning, especially as the head coach of the team.
