Nick Wright believes Caitlin Clark is the clear winner for the WNBA Rookie of the Year due to her more impressive performances.

Caitlin Clark and Nick Wright
This season in the WNBA has been nothing short of box office content as two rookies, Caitlin Clark, and Angel Reese, have swarmed the whole spotlight. They are both gunning for the coveted Rookie of the Year award with both sides, making their case known with stellar performances on the court night after night.
However, as the debate is ongoing and people are taking sides, Nick Wright believes Caitlin Clark is the clear winner due to her more impressive performances. This is a tough sell, as both players have done their homework, but Wright, taking on his show, Whats Wright?, makes the case for the Indiana Fever star.
We're gonna try to pretend that Angel, who is having a 91 out of 100 rookie season, is on par with Caitlin's rookie season, which is one of the greatest rookie seasons in the history of the league? But Caitlin Clark's arguably already one of the five best players in the league, inarguably one of the eight best players in the league.Nick Wright said
From a statistics point of view, Clark currently averages 18.7 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game, along with 12 double-doubles and one triple-double. Her rival Angel Reese, on the other hand, has made a name for herself as the Queen of the double-double, averaging 13.3 points and 13.1 rebounds per game.
The Clark-Reese rivalry has seen issues outside as recent as the case between WNBA legends Sheryl Swoopes and Nancy Lieberman. Swoopes has come under heavy criticism for her perceived disrespect for CC and was even booted off her commentary role when the Indiana Fever faced off against the Dallas Wings.
Caitlin Clark’s dominant run earns her second straight WNBA Player of the Week award
One thing is certain, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been unstoppable in the second half of the season since resuming from the Olympic break, and as a result, has earned her second consecutive WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week award. Her stats from August 26-September 1 show her average of 24.3 points, 9.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game, and led the Fever to a 4-0 record during that span.
Furthermore, in that timeframe, her standout week saw her notch a career-high 31 points against the Chicago Sky and a remarkable 17 three-pointers made. The Fever now have a 6-1 record since the Olympic break and a current standing of 17-16, good for third place in the East.
Clark will aim to continue her hot streak on Wednesday when the Fever faces the Los Angeles Sparks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Right now she is solidifying her position in the race for the WNBA Rookie of the Year award.
