“I’m just a winner in life!” Nick Young brags having NBA and Big3 championships

Former NBA player Nick Young has been making the headlines lately after winning the BIG3 basketball league as a player-coach. In addition, Young has also won an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors back in 2018.

Notably, Young provided a hilarious response when questioned if he had a message for the haters who doubted him before his BIG3 win. In the Bay Arena, Nick Young spoke to a CBS sports reporter.

Interestingly, Young’s words do have a point as he has won both the decorated leagues, the NBA and the BIG3 in his career.

On the contrary, in the NBA, Young played for 12 seasons. In addition, he recorded an amazing 11.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.5 steals per game on average. Also, Young has performed in whichever league he has played in his career. Not only that but despite not playing a crucial role in the Warriors’ championship-winning side, Young took home $38 million in salaries that year. With Young now switching to full-time coaching basketball for the Enemies, it will be intriguing to watch how his career pans out as a head coach in the BIG3 league.

The BIG3 basketball league has been on the up in the basketball community for a few years now. However, Nick Young claimed that during the 2022 season, Ice Cube‘s BIG3 league was unable to fulfill its player payment responsibilities.

He also claimed that Cube and the board need to organize the league in a better way in an interview with DJ Vlad.

Cause this past year, it felt like things weren’t ran well cause sometimes we ain’t get our money. Things got cancelled. Games got cancelled in the middle of the season. They didn’t know if they was gonna have a season. It was a lot, it was a lot this year.

Fast-forward to 2024, Nick Young seems to be enjoying life as he won the 2023 BIG3 championship with the Enemies as an interim player-coach. Not only that, he has now switched to coaching full-time and is eager to make a mark on his career as a head coach.
