Will tennis fans get emotional during Novak Djokovic‘s retirement? Though there’s no doubt of this, French player Nicolas Mahut is of the opinion that there may and may not be the same emotion that Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer evoked following their retirement announcement.
Federer bade farewell to his career after playing a doubles match with Nadal at the 2022 Laver Cup. Nadal on the other hand, announced his retirement on October 10th and stated that the Davis Cup, scheduled in Malaga in November, will be the final tournament of his career.
Djokovic is at the twilight of his career and a few years later, the tennis community will not no longer watch a member of the Big 3 on tennis courts. Mahut wondered what kind of wishes Djokovic will receive following his retirement announcement.

Nicolas Mahut believes Novak Djokovic wouldn’t have made the same mistakes as Jannik Sinner’s team
Jannik Sinner is waiting for the decision of the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) about his doping controversy. Although the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) called him innocent, he is in trouble again due to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) appeal before the CAS. WADA has demanded a ban on the Italian.
Nicolas Mahut blamed Sinner’s team and said it never would happen to Novak Djokovic. The 23-year-old’s then physio used a spray- that contained clostebol the banned steroid- to treat a wound on his finger. With bare hands he massaged Sinner, and because of this a small amount of the drug entered the player’s system.
Sinner and Djokovic are both in Riyadh for the Six Kings Slam exhibition event. Prior to this, they played in the final of the Shanghai Masters, which Sinner won in straight sets. It was his seventh title of the season. While the match was Sinner’s fourth consecutive final, it was Djokovic’s second summit clash after Wimbledon on the ATP Tour.
