Nikola Jokic gives response to claims of ‘horrible look’ after sitting out over ankle injury
Nuggets star Nikola Jokic made his long-awaited return to the starting lineup after missing 5 games due to an ankle injury.

Nikola Jokic
The Denver Nuggets were without their main man, Nikola Jokic for the past 5 games in the NBA. On Wednesday night, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 127-117, but the main topic was Jokic’s amazing comeback to the floor. The Nuggets surely missed Jokic and his dominance on the court. Not only Nuggets, but NBA analyst Tim Bontemps also missed his absence.
After the Nuggets overcame the Golden State Warriors on March 17, Bontemps claimed that Jokic and Jamal Murray not playing for the Nuggets is a concern. Per the GetUp analyst, a star like Jokic not playing in the NBA regularly hampers the NBA viewership rating. Notably, the Nuggets star is in the running for the NBA MVP award.
It’s a horrible look for the league.
Regarding Jokic’s absence, Tim Bontemps said on the Get Up show

In addition, Jokic finally made his return against the Bucks. Returning to Jokic’s injury, the Nuggets star is among the most reliable players in the league. Thus, many supporters were concerned when he missed five games in a row. After the game, Jokic discussed why he chose to sit out and why it was a “smart” move.
It was just smart. I couldn’t really jump on my left leg. So it was really painful, and it was just better to feel good. I don’t want to be on the floor and feel nervous because I cannot play how I want to play and on the level I want to play.

With 39 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists at the end of the Bucks game, the 30-year-old recorded his 30th triple-double of the year. Also, with only eight games remaining in the regular season, it’s fantastic to hear that Jokic seems well. They are only one game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers in the conference standings, so the work is not yet finished.
Nikola Jokic adds another milestone on his return from injury
There seems to be no stopping the Joker this season. Despite returning from injury, Nikola Jokic added another milestone to his NBA career during his matchup versus the Bucks. Jokic broke his own franchise mark with his 30th triple-double of the season in a 127–117 victory over the Bucks.
After Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, and current Nuggets teammate Russell Westbrook, Jokic became only the fourth player in NBA history to post 30 triple-doubles in a single season.

Michael Malone ‘pleased’ with Nikola Jokic’s return to the lineup
Nikola Jokic left everyone in awe of his performance against the Bucks. Along with dropping 39 points, he was on a fiery 16-25 shooting night. Notably, Nuggets HC Michael Malone was impressed with his stars’ performance. Mostly because he made the Serbian return to the squad after missing 5 games due to an ankle injury.
“I saw a guy that looked rested, explosive, efficient, and dominating as ever.”
