Nikola Jokic hammers down Utah Jazz’s 11-match win streak
Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray
Nikola Jokic led his Denver Nuggets in some fashion today, having scored only scored a humongous tally of 47 points. But ‘The Joker’ also ensured that Nuggets are able to get past their comfort zone to bring down the #1 Team in Western Conference, Utah Jazz. Jokic scored a rally of double-double with career best matching 47-points and 12 rebounds. He scored his 33 out of 47 points in the first half of the game. Jokic was also 17 from 26 from the field and drained all his 4 attempts from downtown.
Apart from Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray scored 16 points. Whereas W. Barton scored 18 points. He was also seen encouraging Jokic to go onto score 50 points. Denver Nuggets struck all eight of its 3-point attempts and shot 80% in the first quarter. The Nuggets kept it going in the second, going 13-of-24 from the field and finishing 15-of-17 from long range in the first half to take a 79-54 halftime lead.

“Hopefully, I’m going to score when we need it. It’s just a game,” Jokic said. “The main thing is just win the game. I’m going to score however much I need just to win the game.“
With the game in hand he went to the bench, unconcerned he was three points from hitting 50.
“I told him a couple of minutes before [to] go get 50 but you know him, he don’t care about that kind of stuff,” Barton said. “He’s just playing basketball, being aggressive, being who he is. We definitely wanted the big fella to get 5-0 tonight.“
“We didn’t play our best, that’s what hurts, especially the way we played the last two games against Dallas,” Donovan Mitchell said. “To have that performance and they come out and they shoot 15-of-17, that’s what hurts the most.“
