“Launch an investigation!” Nikola Jokic’s ‘psychic powers’ has Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert in disbelief
Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert praised Nikola Jokic for calling out their set plays coming out of the timeout.
Gobert and Edwards shocked by Jokic knowing their set plays
The Minnesota Timberwolves went up 3-2 for the season after dismantling the Denver Nuggets. The victory saw the Wolves stars Rudy Gobert and Anthony Edwards heavily contributing to the cause. Despite the win, both stars had high praises for Nikola Jokic and joked about him having ‘psychic powers’.
Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards joked that Jokic knew their set plays better than the players themselves. This comment came after the Nuggets star started narrating their whole strategy to the Nuggets players.
According to Rudy Gobert, the play happened right after a timeout, leading Edwards to jokingly suspect the existence of a mole in their locker room.

Edwards also chimed in on Gobert’s interview to share a hilarious account from his perspective.
The play that the two players were talking about also surfaced online. The Wolves were running a set to get Gobert the ball in the dunker spot for a post-up bucket. It turns out Edwards was right. Immediately after a timeout, Jokic intercepted a pass to Gobert as he saw right through their play.
This seems to be the play that Edwards and Gobert were referring to:

In the loss, Jokic totaled 26 points, 13 assists, and nine rebounds—one rebound shy from another triple-double. On the other hand, Edwards and Gobert’s duo showed up big time in the win. Edwards recorded 29 points and four assists with Gobert joining with 17 points and an impressive 14 rebounds to secure the team’s third victory.
Denver Nuggets on a losing record despite Nikola Jokic’s production
Following a rough start to the season, the Denver Nuggets found themselves with a 2-3 record. This was a major disappointment for the management as the team was heavily favored to win the Western Conference. Despite the teams’ shortcomings, Jokic is having his best start in recent years.
The Nuggets’ star became the first player in NBA history to record 150/50/50 in the first five games of a season. The three-time MVP in five games has recorded 152 points, 58 rebounds, and 50 assists. He also did this with an impressive accuracy, shooting 56.1% from the field.

However, the team’s recent play is raising alarms for the front office. With the loss of their key bench piece Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the Nuggets have struggled to find offensive productions from the reserves. The team’s collapse can also be a result of Jamal Murray’s decline in his offensive game.
