Nikola Jokic may be by far the best basketball player on the planet, but the sport and his success from it do not match the level of joy he draws from horse racing and his family.
The Serbian has made it clear that his daughter’s smile makes him happier than what he does on the court, as he has labeled playing basketball as simply a job.
Then his ecstatic reactions to horse racing victories have led to fans wondering why he never displays the same passion whenever he wins an MVP award or when he won the Larry O’Brien trophy back in 2023.
Then there is the lifestyle that is followed in America. As a hardcore Balkan native, the 30-year-old ends up in certain events just for the sake of participation.
Despite that knowledge, after their win over the Memphis Grizzlies, a reporter decided to ask the Denver Nuggets superstar if he had a couple of things he would be thankful for.
Oh my God.

The 3-time league MVP was clearly annoyed by this question and placed his left hand over his forehead while reacting in that manner. As a European, he does not celebrate Thanksgiving, which he probably feels the reporter did not consider when asking that question.
Fans react to Nikola Jokic’s bizarre Thanksgiving response
Nikola Jokic loves to party, and often takes to it during the offseason, back in his hometown of Sombor, Serbia. But there is a difference between partying and traditions.
Fans understood that the Denver Nuggets superstar is not bothered by such questions about American traditions and seemingly wants nothing to do with them.
They believe that all the NBA champion wants to do is to go back home after defeating the Grizzlies. Check out examples of those social media reactions below.

Bro just wants to go home and enjoy his time off

Can’t blame him
Nikola Jokic possibly wanted to go back home and spend time with his daughter, son, and his wife. Maybe when it is time for a Serbian Christmas celebration, the 6′ 11″ center will go all out to be a part of the festivities.
Nikola Jokic brought his absurd passes against Grizzlies
Nikola Jokic and his Denver Nuggets are currently tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for 3rd in the West. In their last game, against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Paris Olympics bronze medalist was not among his team’s top scorers.

Instead, he made up for it with his playmaking, dishing out 16 assists to his teammates, which helped them maintain their lead throughout the game.
Late in the 4th quarter, the home team was trying to find ways to close the gap and possibly snatch the lead. To ensure that it does not happen, the Joker had to find ways to get his teammates open.
On one play with a little over a minute left, the center drove from the 3-point line towards the rim. The moment he realized that he was facing a double team, he sent a behind-the-back pass to the cutting Peyton Watson for an easy layup.

Such plays make it harder for opponents to win against the Nuggets, as when they try to limit him in one aspect of his game, he exploits the other to ensure he still holds the game in his hands.
