The name NIkola Jokic generally brings a smile to any basketball fanatics mind, as the Serbian is known for his excellent scoring, as well as his electric playmaking skills.
The fact that he used those skills to win three league MVP awards and one championship have helped cement his status as one of the, if not, the best basketball player in the world.
He should have won his 4th MVP last season, but was beaten out by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, despite posting a triple double season. Despite that loss, many analysts still believe the Denver Nuggets superstar is the best in the world.
Jokic wanted to use his skills to help his home nation win the 2025 EuroBasket championship. But injuries to some of his teammates stopped them from reaching their goal.
Now back in the United States, the 30-year-old has redirected his focus on to the Denver Nuggets, who retooled their squad this offseason with the hope it would be enough for the Joker to bring another championship home.
Before their quest for that goal begins, the 6′ 11″ center and his new teammates have to get on the same page. That is where preseason games come handy, and the Nuggets’ entire roster decided it was time to get to work.
After losing their first game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the squad traveled to Canada to face the Toronto Raptors. The Nuggets won the game 112-108 with Nikola Jokic contributing 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

The highlight of the game was one of those assists. While being guarded by Scottie Barnes, the Joker surveyed the floor, backed down the Raptors star, and then swung the ball to the other end where offseason acquisition Cameron Johnson was waiting.
Nikola Jokic’s sensational pass leaves fans stunned
Nikola Jokic is known for his deft passing ability. Be it no look blinders, or finding that perfect gap to thread the ball through, his playmaking has baffled opponents, analysts, and fans.
This near blind pass had a similar effect as fans could not believe how he perfectly timed it. Not only did he wait for Cameron Johnson to get into position, but the angle and speed of the ball meant the Toronto Raptors players could not react in time.
Fans believe this could be a sign that the Nuggets star is motivated beyond imagination about his intent on winning a championship. Since their last win, he has been playing at an unbelievable level.
But mostly, he had to take on much of the burden. Now, he has teammates to share it, and his passing could become his most important skill. Fans believe such passes will pave their way to success. Check out examples of those reactions below.

Nikola Jokic will be looking to build chemistry with his team, and work on getting them on the same page. The new entrants primarily will have to work on understanding how and when to expect such passes.
Nikola Jokic and Nuggets have the players to fight for championship
Last season, the arrival of Russell Westbrook was seen as a sign of good things to come for the Denver Nuggets. He was touted as the missing link the team needed.

His presence was also supposed to take some pressure off Nikola Jokic. In their first several weeks, that plan seemed to be working, and the Nuggets were battling for the Western Conference lead. With a few weeks remaining for the playoffs, their struggles saw head coach Michael Malone lose his job. His management of Westbrook’s time with the team was seen as a sticking point in the locker room.
The franchise decided not to retain the triple double king’s services, and used the offseason to trade away Michael Porter Jr. to land multiple players in his place. Many believe those pieces combine to make this version of the Nuggets, the strongest since its championship-winning days. Barring injuries, this improved roster could help Jokic fight for another title.
