Nikola Jokic’s triple-double prevails over James Harden’s another stellar performance


Another frustrating night from James Harden scoring 34 points. But still he wasn’t able to get the Houston Rockets past Denver Nuggets. Nikola Jokic outpowered Harden’s 34 points’ performance with triple-double against his name. Jokic scored 19 points, 18 assists and 12 rebounds as the Denver Nuggets register their first win of the 2020-21 season. After losing from Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers, Nikola Jokic made it his personal responsibility to get the Nuggets on the win column.
Nikola Jokic was accompanied by all his other starters, Porter Jr and Gary Harris scored 14. Whereas Paul Millsap scored 19. The highest scorer for the Nuggets was no one else, but their marquee scorer Jamal Murray with 21 points. Whereas James Harden’s relentless 34 points was accompanied well by Christian Wood’s 23.
Nikola Jokic overpowers James Harden
The Denver Nuggets and especially Nikola Jokic would be itching to do well in this season after their hard-fought efforts came to an end in the Eastern Conference Finals against Los Angeles Lakers. Jokic and Murray were the key even then for the Nuggets, but to see them continue their dominance even in this season is amazing.
Talking about Houston Rockets and James Harden, they missed John Wall again in this encounter. The Rockets’ have played 2 and has Harden followed his 40+ points performance with another 34 points performance today. Yet, the outcome has not favored the Rockets on both occasions. The positive for Rockets have been Wood’s amazing supporting offensive role alongside James Harden. As the Rockets no play the Sacramento Kings in two consecutive games, let’s see how James Harden plays and whether or not he is able to guide the franchise through to its first win of the season.
