Dominic Thiem vs Stefanos Tsitsipas: Match Preview
The Austrian became a Grand Slam champion for the first time in his career after cruising past Alexander Zverev at the US Open title clash back in September.
The World No. 3 recently gave a thumbs up on his foot injury after his fitness came into question in the loss against the eventual champion of the Vienna Open, Andrey Rublev. Thiem has only suffered three defeats post the restart of the sport.
Ranked at No. 6, Stefanos Tsitsipas enters the tournament as the defending champion after defeating Thiem itself last year. A lot has changed since that time, however, the 22-year-old Greek has struggled to find his feet since the restart of the season and has faced defeat at the hands of rising stars.
To say the least, the World No.6 has had an average season by high expectations with only one title this year at Marseille before the Covid-19 disruptions.

Dominic Thiem vs Stefanos Tsitsipas: Match Prediction
The World No.3, Dominic Thiem is now a Grand Slam champion. The efforts he made to improve his hard-court game towards the end of last season obviously paid off in his victory at the 2020 US Open this year.
However, the Greek will come to London with a renewed passion and will be confident to defend the trophy after already achieving to do it once this year, in Marseille, where he also won last year.
Thiem leads a tight head-to-head with the Tsitsipas which currently stands at 4-3. The manner in which their wins have zig-zagged back and forth only suggests that it’s Thiem’s turn to win the next encounter between the two.
Prediction: Dominic Thiem wins in straight sets.
