The much-awaited draw for the Nitto ATP Finals 2020 in London were held on 12th November, Thursday, and it has created some fascinating matchups and groups. The tournament will feature the best and brightest from all over the world, who will battle it out to claim the ultimate prize. The tournament will take place from 15th to 22nd November, 2020.

As usual, 8 players will participate in this tournament. The players are chosen on the basis of the latest ATP ranking and are divided into 2 groups of four players. The Top 2 from both the groups (Tokyo 1970 and London 2020) will proceed to the knockout stages. Fifth seed Roger Federer is missing from the tournament due to injuries. Ninth seed Diego Schwartzman is taking his place.

Tokyo 1970: Group Preview and Predictions

This group consists of first seed Novak Djokovic, fourth seed Daniil Medvedev, seventh seed Alexander Zverev and ninth seed Diego Schwartzman. 5-time champion Novak Djokovic will look to win a record breaking 6th title in London this time. The Serb has a win/loss ratio of 39/3 this season and has qualified for 13th season finale. He won the finals title in 2008 and then consecutively from 2012 to 2015.

The Group also contains former winner Alexander Zverev, who won the title in 2018 beating Djokovic in that match. Medvedev will also look to clinch the title after winning ATP Paris Masters 2020. Italian Open 2020 finalist Diego Schwartzman, who replaced Federer, is debuting and will also look to give a tough fight to others in the group.

Tokyo 1970 Group Prediction: Djokovic and Zverev will qualify for the semifinals with Medvedev finishing a close third.

London 2020: Group Preview and Predictions

Second seed Rafael Nadal leads this group with third seed Dominic Thiem, Sixth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas and eighth seed Andrey Rublev also in the group. Nadal has qualified for a record 16 consecutive year in this competition, he has a win/loss ratio of 25/5 with 2 titles to his name this year. Austria’s Thiem won the US Open this year and was looking impressive before suffering a toe injury, but will surely eye this title as well.

Sixth seed Tsitsipas comes into this tournament as the defending champion. He won the 2020 Open 13 at Marseille and will look to defend his title at London. Eighth seed Russian Andrey Rublev is playing in this tournament for the first time, but he has won a mind-blowing 5 ATP titles this year alone and will look continue his read-hot form in London as well.

London 2020 Group Prediction: Tsitsipas and Nadal will go through to the semifinals with Thiem finishing a close third.

Tokyo 1970 group winner Novak Djokovic will face London 2020 runner-up Rafael Nadal in the first semi-finals. Both the men have met 56 times before with the Serb leading head-to-head 29-27. This is going to be a close contest with Djokovic scrapping past a resilient Nadal to reach the finals.

The second semifinal will pit London 2020 Group winner Stefanos Tsitsipas against Tokyo 1970 runner-up Alexander Zverev This clash is going to be nail-bitter. But at the end Zverev will squeeze past Tsitsipas to enter the final.

The much coveted final of the Nitto ATP Finals 2020 will be won by Alexander Zverev. Both of them have faced each other 5 times in the past with Djokovic leading the head-to-head 3-2, Zverev will edge past the five-time champion to claim the title. This match will be close one as well and will keep the viewers at their feet at all time.
