Nivera joins Team Liquid Valorant Roster
Nabil Benrlitom is an extremely talented Belgian-Moroccan professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who was on Team Vitality’s bench. He is the younger brother of ScreaM. Esports fans used to call him ‘Baby ScreaM’ but he proved himself and made a name for himself.
Earlier in March, Nivera stepped down from french side Vitality’s CS: GO roster after Valve’s new rule to issue penalties during the Regional Major Ranking to the teams who would substitute out players in between matches events. Regional Major Ranking is the ranking that decides which teams will represent the region in Counter-Strike Majors.
Nivera will be replacing James ‘Kryptix’ Affleck in the roster. On Twitter team Liquid explained, the British player will be “temporarily stepping down from the team to deal with some personal issues.”
Nivera told Dexerto that he is making this career move by choice, not by necessity.
“I could have joined many other CS teams, but I lost my motivation to play,” he said. “I didn’t want to continue playing CS professionally.
Team Liquid was the top representative of EMEA in the VCT Stage 2 Masters but unfortunately, they did not even manage to qualify for the VCT Stage 3 Masters and now they have to go through EMEA Last Chance Qualifier to be eligible for the first-ever Valorant major Valorant Champions Berlin 2021. Hopefully, Nivera’s addition will be enough for them to win the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier and represent EMEA again.
