The WWE Backstage Royal Rumble special show revealed some interesting details about the PPV. The first two entrants for the men’s Royal Rumble match were revealed during the show.

Randy Orton and Edge will be kicking off the battle royale style match. WWE Backstage went off air in June 2020, but made a return with a special episode for the Royal Rumble. In addition to this news, it was also revealed on the show that Natalya will be entering the Women’s Royal Rumble match at No.30.

The spots in the match are not announced prior to the show. But this time WWE has been revealing the surprises and spots prior to the event to get the fans hyped up. This time there won’t be a live crowd, hence the plan to reveal spots prior to the show.

Road to Royal Rumble for Orton and Edge

Orton has been on fire recently for the company. He is arguably in the best phase of his career. His rivalry with Edge has been one of the fiercest ones that we have seen in recent times.

The duo faced off against each other at Wrestlemania 36 and Backlash. The rivalry could not conclude as Edge tore his tricep at Backlash during filming the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever. It has been rumored that Edge and Orton will be concluding their rivalry at the greatest stage of all, Wrestlemania.

With both the rivals entering the match at the opening spots, things could get interesting. Orton and Edge are among the favorites to win this year’s Rumble. It remains to be seen how long they last in the ring.
