No Davis! No problem! LA Lakers feast on Minnesota Timberwolves misery
Kyle Kuzma played in place of Anthony Davis against Minnesota Timberwolves

Los Angeles Lakers thrash Minnesota Timberwolves in exquisite fashion 127-91. From Lebron James to Jared Dudley, 13 out of 14 players who played in the LA Lakers’ jersey scored against Timberwolves. Outscoring the away team in every quarter, LA Lakers stamp their dominance and authority. With a first match defeat, Lakers seem to be relishing their depth in the squad. With no Anthony Davis, who was out because of calf strain, LeBron James almost registered a double-double against his name with 18 points and 9 rebounds.

As Kyle Kuzma was given a chance to start once again after the pre-season, the 25-year-old did not disappoint, being the highest scorer from the LA Lakers with 20 points. With all new acquisition, Marc Gasol, Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder registering decent contribution against the away side.

LA Lakers beat Minnesota Timberwolves by 36 points

All of Kyle Kuzma’s points came in the first half itself. Showing that he is an ideal replacement for Anthony Davis whenever the LA Lakers need them. He also had a phenomenal opening half in his first start since agreeing to a three-year, $40 million contract extension with the NBA champions. He hit three consecutive 3-pointers to open the scoring in a wire-to-wire win for Los Angeles, which led by 20 in the first quarter and 36 in the third.

The #1 NBA Draft playing Anthony Edwards got 15 points to his name. This was Timberwolves first loss of the 2020-21 season. Having said that, this match was all about Los Angeles Lakers and its players. Next up for the LA Lakers, they host Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum who is in red hot form. Whereas the Timberwolves would be playing the LA Clippers who have been insanely embarrassed by Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks.
