The 2024 NASCAR Cup season witnessed the race teams and sanctioning body going head-to-head over the new charter deal for the 2025-2031 season. Following an ultimatum, all the teams other than 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports, signed the new deal. The two teams took things to the new level with suing NASCAR alleging monopoly.
The teams have found themselves in a situation where they have to race as open teams, incurring significant financial losses and missing chance to win the Bill France Cup. This put the driver of the team in an uncertain position, and Noah Gragson, who is set to make his debut with the team in 2025 is one of them who is uncertain.
He recently broke silence on the legal drama and admitted that he is pretty disconnected about the lawsuit but added that he is confident about racing for FRM in 2025. Gragson admitted that he has no idea about what’s going on behind the scenes and only knows about things what were told to him by the team officials.
Noah Gragson rates his 2024 season
This year marked the first time he completed a full season in the Cup series, with Stewart Haas Racing. His rookie season ended midway following a suspension from LMC. He pointed out that he is proud of how the 38-race season played out for him and how much he thrived the full 38 race weeks grind.
The positives from the 2024 season are going to help Noah Gragson to find his grove and get the better out of him at FRM. It will be interesting to see how the lawsuit is going affect the star driver’s performance and career at the top level of the sport.
