Chelsea forward Noni Madueke shared a controversial message on Instagram, labeling rival Premier League side Wolverhampton as ‘s***’, ahead of a clash between the two sides. The forward’s message generated a lot of frenzy on social media.
Enzo Maresca and his men are in search of their first Premier League victory, after a 2-0 opening day defeat to reigning champions Manchester City, last week. Moreover, club forward Noni Madueke, who is expected to make his first start of the season against the Wolves, generated controversy for his ‘x-rated’ message on social media. The Englishman recently starred in a 2-0 victory over Servette in the UCL play-offs, coming on as a substitute to score a late 76th minute winner.
The former PSV star, in an Instagram story, appeared to brand Wolverhampton as ‘s***’. He tagged his location as the city of Wolverhampton, and then accompanied it with a message exclaiming the place to be poor, while making comparisons. However, upon receiving significant backlash, the 22-year quickly deleted the post, and shared another one in which he playfully exclaimed that the message was meant for another account.

Madueke’s recent post might not hold well with Wolves’ fans, and the player might not receive the reception he would have wanted at the Molineaux stadium. The 22-year-old, moreover, has been linked with a move out of the club, amid reports of having fallen out of favor with the Blues manager.
Enzo Maresca opens about Noni Madueke’s exit rumors, amid Newcastle links
Chelsea forward Noni Madueke has been linked with a move out of the club, with recent reports emerging of manager Enzo Maresca preferring other players over the 22-year-old. Moreover, the young forward has been linked with a move to rivals, Newcastle United.

Having moved from PSV last summer for €33 million, Madueke might now be on his way out of Chelsea, much before the end of his seven-year contract at the club. However, following his recent display against Servette, Enzo Maresca expressed his desire to keep the young forward at Chelsea. He also insisted that Madueke had to be consistent in training sessions, and work upon his abilities.
I really like Noni. The only problem is that he has to understand that he has to be consistent during the week in training. He's a good player and he's doing well with us.Enzo Maresca on Noni Madueke’s future at Chelsea (via Mirror)
However, the arrival of Marc Guiu, Pedro Neto, and Joao Felix might increase competition in an inflated Chelsea line-up, which features a massive roster of 44 players. Madueke, who has scored 10 goals in 47 games for the club, might have to fight for a regular place.
