FA Cup: Nottingham Forest vs Huddersfield Player Ratings as Forest set to meet Liverpool after beating Huddersfield 2-1

Nottingham Forest vs Huddersfield: Nottingham Forest met Huddersfield in the 5th round of the FA Cup and won the game 2-1. They will now face Liverpool at home in the quarter finals.

Huddersfield opened the scoring with a towering header from Tom Lees in the 13th minute. Surridge equalised for Forest in the 29th minute with a smart finish. Ryan Yates headed home from a Garner set-piece to give his side the lead in the 37th minute.

Forest held on for the rest of the tie to confirm their place in the quarter-finals.

Nottingham Forest

Ethan Horvath(7/10): Nottingham Forest player made a few good saves, but was poor with his distribution and long balls.
Joe Worrall (7.4/10): Had a decent game on the right. Made some important tackles and interceptions.
Steve Cook (6.8/10): Played some good long balls from out back. He was good in the air and won a lot of high balls.
Scott McKenna (6.5/10): Had a lackluster game, but did well in handling the attackers.
Djed Spence(6/10): Could not impact the game and gave away possession a few times.
Max Lowe(7.2/10):: Was sound defensively, but could have done better going forward.

Ryan Yates (8.5/10): Perfectly placed his header to find the net for the goal. Was also a part in the buildup to Surridge’s goal. Had a good all round game.
James Garner (8.1/10): Assisted Yates with a teasing cross from a free kick. The United line looked sharp and made some good penetrative passes.
Philip Zinckernagel (6.2/10): Had a very quiet game and hardly saw the ball in the 60+ minutes he was on the pitch.
Brennan Johnson (7.3/10): Created a couple of good chances for his team.Also made some tackles helping out his team defensively.
Sam Surridge (7.6/10): Scored with a clinical finish from a tough angle to open the scoring for Forrest but otherwise had a quiet game.

Substitutions:
Jack Colback (6.2/10): Had very few touches after coming on.
Keinan Davis (6.6/10): Tried to create chances with his passes after coming on

Huddersfield

Jamal Blackman (5.9/10): Huddersfield arguably should have done better for the first goal where he was beaten from a tight angle.

Matty Pearson (5.8/10): Saw a lot of the ball in the right but could not make anything happen. He was quiet for periods of the match.

Naby Sarr(6.5/10): Sarr had an okay game before being subbed in the 55th minute.His long balls from the back were disappointing.

Tom Lees (7.2/10): The defender jumped up high and headed in from close range for the opener.

Josh Ruffels (6.1/10): Ruffles had a poor game down the left hand side. He constantly lost possession and was misplacing passes.

Pipa(6.3/10):: Hit the woodwork with an attempt, but otherwise had a quiet game.

Jonathan Hogg(6.2/10): Could not influence the game much from midfield.And lost the duels in the middle of the pitch.

Carel Eiting (6.7/10): Did well in the match, making good passes. He also made a few good tackles.

Sorba Thomas(6.1/10): His passing was poor and failed to impose himself to try and win the 50-50s.

Duane Holmes(6.6/10):Holmes tried to create chances but often lost the ball with his inaccurate passes.

Danel Sinani(6.9/10): Assisted the opener with a good cross from a corner which Tom Lees headed home. Could not get a single shot away though.

Substitutions:

Harry Toffolo(6.5/10): Gave a decent performance after coming on.

Daniel Ward(6.7/10): Took a couple of shots which were on target after coming on

Jordan Rhodes(6.2/10): Poor passes to see him lose possession multiple times.
