Novak Djokovic faced no problems in beating his first-round opponent Vit Kopriva in straight sets. The seven-time Wimbledon champion eased past the Czech qualifier 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 at Wimbledon on Tuesday (July 2). Despite widespread concerns around his knee, the Serbian played in his trademark style, sliding on the grass court with ease.

Djokovic came out wearing a band covering his right knee, after a recent operation to fix a torn medial meniscus. He ended all doubts about his fitness as he ran around the court with ease and showed no visible discomfort.

This led to a section of fans claiming that Djokovic never had an injury and that he did not undergo any surgery. A user shared a clip of him comfortably sliding on the court with his right leg stretched out and wondered how he could move that freely so quickly after going under the knife.

Meanwhile, another section of fans defended Djokovic claiming that the knee surgery he underwent does not require a lot of time to recover.

It has been widely reported that a person can return to full fitness in a few weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on their knee as this procedure requires minimal incision. All eyes will continue to remain on Djokovic when he takes on Jacob Fearnley in the second round on Thursday (July 4).
