Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic is not yet done with his celebrations following his gold medal-winning performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 37-year-old achieved the only missing feat in his illustrious career and after celebrating in Paris for a couple of days, he has now returned to Serbia to continue them.
The former World No.1 was given a hero’s welcome back home. Djokovic enjoyed his time with fellow Olympic athletes and soaked in all the love from his country’s people. Now, he is partying in the club with his loved ones.
Djokovic was filmed dancing to the popular track ‘Energie’ in a club with his wife Jelena and a few friends. He seemed to be enjoying every bit of it, and he was also seen reciting the lyrics when the music stopped.
Novak Djokovic has eyes set on another Olympic gold already
While it took him five attempts to win his first Olympic gold medal, Novak Djokovic is hoping to double that soon. He has hinted that he could participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
Djokovic said that representing his country gives him the “greatest pleasure” and thus would like to do it one more time, even if he will be 41 years old at the Los Angeles Games.
I'll try to make it to Los Angeles. l'd like to. The greatest pleasure is representing Serbia at the Olympic Games. For me, this is the realization of a boyhood dream, the pressure to win the gold was huge because I won more or less everything. I feel fulfilled, complete, let's celebrate.Novak Djokovic said (H/T: Express.co.uk)
The 37-year-old’s next big assignment is the 2024 US Open, where he hopes to defend his title. If he manages to do that, he will take his Grand Slam tally to 25, a record among men and women across eras. The Serbian has decided to skip the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open this year.
