Tennis club expresses gratitude towards Novak Djokovic for choosing their training facilities

Novak Djokovic withdrew from the Madrid Masters 2021 this week, and will instead compete at the Belgrade 2 Open, a week prior to the French Open. Recently, the world number landed in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia, where he will train at the Gem tennis club in the Safet Zajko Center.

It was a matter of pride for the Gem tennis club, to have Novak Djokovic train at the center. In a statement, the club expressed gratitude to Novak Djokovic. Moreover, they also mentioned about the experience gained by the club’s coaches as they had conversations with the Serbian’s team. In addition to the world number one, Brendon Nakashima is also present at the center.

The club was honored to have Novak Djokovic train at their facility. He also trained with Brendon Nakashima at the Safet Zajko Center. “One great experience for our coaches and excellent education and additional knowledge that we will use for the training processes of our competitors. Of course, we are honored that Novak Djokovic chose our club as the place where he will train, but we are certainly honored that the future world tennis star Brendon Nakashima is also there,” said TK Gem.

Novak Djokovic last played at the Serbia Open 2021, where he was defeated in the semifinals by Aslan Karatsev. He also competed at the Monte Carlo Masters, where he lost in the third round to Dan Evans in straight sets. The world number one is expected to compete at the Italian Open 2021, where he is the defending champion.
