For the first time in my career, I don't have long-term plans. I live in the present moment, and I will see what happens. Today, I will play in Sofia against Grigor, then in China, and then at an exhibition tournament in Saudi Arabia. After that, I don't know. We'll see how I feel, and we'll judge from there. Family life is very important to me.
Novak Djokovic said in an interview in Bulgaria (H/T Sport)

Djokovic has won only one title this year, the Olympic gold medal in Paris. This is the first season since 2017 that he has gone without a Grand Slam title.

Djokovic will be returning to the Shanghai Masters for the first time since 2019. He is a four-time champion at this event and will be aiming for his 100th ATP career title in China.

On the previous day, Djokovic and Miomir Kecmanovic had won their singles matches. Serbia was leading 2-0 at the start of Day 2 and only needed one more win to advance. With this victory, Serbia will now compete for a chance to return to the Davis Cup Group Stage Finals. Serbia last won the Davis Cup in 2010, beating France 3-2 in the final. This win marks an important step for them in returning to top-level competition.

Medjedovic, only 21, made his second Davis Cup appearance. He had a notable win against Norway’s Viktor Durasovic last year and recently performed well at the ATP Challenger Tour.
