One such moment came when Murray and Djokovic hit out for a practice session ahead of the ATP 1000 Rome Masters 2021. During a rally, a bizarre thing happened when three-time Grand Slam winner Murray literally squashed the ball!

In a short 20-second video posted by ATP TV on Twitter, one can clearly hear 18-time Major winner Djokovic saying, ” That hasn’t happened in a long time. This is what happens when you practice with Andy Murray.” Though the Serb was amused by looking at the video it was clearly evident that he was accustomed to balls getting squashed by his great rival, Murray.

On the other hand, Murray was evidently in complete disbelief as one could hear him say, “Oh common, I can’t do it”. It was a great light moment shared by the two greats, who have combined 21 Grand Slams amongst them.

Those who are unaware, Murray is not participating in this week’s Rome Masters, however he will practice with Djokovic and Diego Schwartzman as he aims to make a return to the ATP Tour after an injury layoff has plunged his ranking to 123 in the world. Seeing the condition of the ball, hopefully it’s just a trailer and we may expect a lot from the Brit in the coming months!
