The Big Three of Tennis– Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic were all named a part of the perfect player created by a group of 29 experts based on a survey conducted by Tennisnet.com. Djokovic featured the most often (three times), followed by Nadal on two occasions. However, Roger Federer featured only on one occasion.

The panel of experts included former players like Barbara Rittner, Michael Kohlmann, Barbara Schett-Eagle and two-time Grand Slam doubles champion Jurgen Melzer. The major traits of the Big Three- forehand, return, defense, footwork and mental strength, all featured in the list of a perfect player.

Novak Djokovic’s backhand was picked as the best by experts, earning 58 points ahead of Wawrinka (25) and Dominic Thiem (22). The 17 time Grandslam champion was also included in the perfect player for his defence, where he scored 60 points, just ahead of Rafael Nadal who earned 47 points.

The Serbian came out on top for his footwork as well, picking up 65 points in this category, way ahead of Nadal’s tally of 31 points. In all, Djokovic finished on top in three categories and on second place in one category.

There is absolutely no doubt when it comes to the question of who has the best forehand in men’s tennis. Rafael Nadal’s incredible top-spin forehand earned him 57 points, ahead of Federer (39) and Juan Martin del Potro (29).

The Spaniard also came out on top for his mental strength, earning 68 points and was followed by Djokovic with 52. Meanwhile, Roger Federer was voted as the player having the best volleys, outscoring his opponents by a huge margin. He earned 63 points and was followed by Nadal with 24 points.

John Isner was also a part of the perfect player for his monstrous serves. The American earned 44 points, followed by Federer with 28 points and Australian, Nick Kyrgios with 26 points.
