Uncanny interview questions are an everyday ordeal for players around the world. While sometimes they are straight-up offensive, mostly they mean no harm and yet are difficult to field for players spontaneously.
After securing a challenging victory at the Paris Masters, Novak Djokovic gave a cryptic answer when asked about his experience of battling a stomach virus by a journalist whose wife was going through a similar ordeal.
Although the question would have thrown off most players, the Serb, known for his sense of humor, joked around it to answer the reporter.
My wife texts me and asks me, could you maybe give a hint of how you recover or what kind of medicine you took, because many people have stomach bugs. She sadly suffers a lot from it. She said maybe Novak could help...asked the reporter during the post-match presser
I’m not a doctor and I’m not able to give medical advice. Everyone’s body reacts differently, but I find fluid intake to be key for me.

The Serb also revealed that he could only eat one meal a day and had to drink fluids after that to avoid upsetting his stomach. Understandably, such unprecedented issues during a tournament take a heavy mental toll on a player and their team, and Djokovic didn’t miss this point.
You have dizziness, you constantly feel a lack of fluid in your body, thirst, weakness. But if you are a professional athlete, what you should do as soon as you leave the field is very clear: either you will overcome the circumstances, the pain and the virus, or they will overcome you.he further added
Furthermore, in what seemed like a strategy reveal from the top seed, he revealed how to manage the situation by drawing in energy from the adrenaline, the crowd, and the situation on the court, which gave him additional motivation to endure the week.
Stomach problems bother me like everyone else. But I went through hell for 3-4 days, and only today I felt relatively normal. Needless to say, Djokovic's fans are distressed with this recent development and they hope this bug isn't here to stay, especially with the first Grand Slam of the upcoming season just a little more than a month away.
