Novak Djokovic reveals the reason behind not staying in the Olympic Village for athletes during Paris Olympics

Novak Djokovic recently revealed why he opted against staying in the Olympic Village and decided to arrange his accommodation for the Games. For every edition of the Olympics, the organizers pick the host city and decide on the residential accommodations for the athletes.
This place is known as the Olympic Village and every athlete aspires to experience the vibe of the place at least once. One star player who has opted out of living in the village this time in Djokovic.
Initially, a member of the Serbian team’s organizing committee revealed the news that Djokovic would not be joining his team at the Olympic Village. Recently, Djokovic shed light on the reasons for not staying there.
One of the reasons is for my privacy. I wanted more privacy and to stay focused on the tournament. The Village is one of the best experiences during the Olympics because that’s where you feel the energy. I will go and visit the Village, but I will not stay there because I feel it is better for me.Novak Djokovic told a Serbian reporter
He also stated that while hopes to watch other matches at the Games, he might not be able to because of his training and schedule.

The Paris Olympics’ draw for tennis is out on Thursday (July 25), with Novak Djokovic being given a tough but exciting path to the final.
Djokovic will face Matthew Ebden in the first round. He could face his long-time rival Rafael Nadal in the second round, a potential clash that has the fans buzzing already. The draw does not get easy if he manages to get past the Spaniard.
He might face the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Arthur Fils in the latter rounds and could then face Taylor Fritz or Alexander Zverev en route to the final. A potential clash with Carlos Alcaraz in the gold medal match is also on the cards.
