‘Now’s the time for somebody to shut his mouth up, to silence Henry Cejudo’ – Deiveson Figueiredo vows to beat up Henry Cejudo
Deiveson Figueiredo

Deiveson “Daico” Figueiredo takes on Brandon Moreno, this weekend at UFC 256, just 3 weeks after successfully defending his title against Alex Perez at UFC 255. The flyweight champion is currently 20-1 in his professional MMA career and it looks like he will only go from strength to strength, here onwards. A victory for Deiveson on Saturday would set the record for the fastest consecutive title defenses in the history of the UFC.

Speaking in an episode of Ariel Helwani’s MMA show, Deiveson Figueiredo (translated by his manager Wallid Ismail) revealed his intentions of putting retired UFC fighter (currently flirting with a possibility of a comeback) Henry Cejudo in his place. He vowed to shut him up since he has talked a lot of sh*t.

“For sure Henry Cejudo; he talked a lot of s**t” – Deiveson Figueiredo

Deiveson Figueiredo (via his manager Wallid Ismail) was quoted as saying, “For sure Henry Cejudo. He talked a lot of s**t. We’re ready to shut up his mouth. Now’s the time for somebody to shut his mouth up, to silence Henry Cejudo,” when asked if he would take on Cody Garbrandt or Henry Cejudo.

Deiveson also revealed that he wanted to be the flyweight champion for a very long time, adding that he wanted to bring back the excitement to the flyweight division.

Henry Cejudo, on the other hand, announced his retirement earlier this year, in May, after defeating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. But, there have been a lot of rumors afloat that he would be making his comeback and it seems that, it will happen soon.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much does a fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Henry Cejudo interest you? Who do you think will win, if the fight happens?
