The most anticipated podcast episode of 2025 did not disappoint. Taylor Swift went on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights latest episode to unveil her 12th album. The trio took over the internet for over an hour, shattering several records.

It generated over 1.9 million concurrent viewers. The stream faced a brief interruption after the servers crashed due to the queue of fans tuned in to catch a glimpse of their beloved pair.

By Thursday afternoon, the episode had about 11.9 million views on YouTube. A day later, the view counter surpassed 15 million and currently stands at 18 million views, which could increase in the next few days.

Instagram saw the most traffic, with over 400 million views on various reels from the episode. Meanwhile, on X, viewership has reached 80 million since the first promo was released.

Swift revealed the name of her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” According to reports, Swift’s album is already the #1 best-selling vinyl in the US this year, with only 1 variant and just 3 days of pre-sale.

During the episode, Swift spoke about meeting Kelce for the first time in 2023 and how she fell in love with football. The 14-time Grammy winner also revealed that she screamed in excitement after the Chiefs drafted wide receiver Xavier Worthy.

I fell in love with it. I became obsessed with it; I became like a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, ‘We just drafted Xavier Worthy,’ and my friends were like, ‘What is…who body snatched you?’ What do you mean we drafted Xavier Worthy?

Does Taylor Swift make a cameo on Happy Gilmore 2?

Ever since Hollywood actor Adam Sandler announced that Travis Kelce would appear in the sequel to Happy Gilmore (1996), Swifties have wondered if their idol will make a cameo. Swift has put an end to all the rumors.

When Jason asked Swift if she could ‘confirm or deny,’ the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer replied,

I can deny! [I am not in it]. This is one of those [times] where, like, we’ll send it to each other and be like, ‘Hey, did you hear I was the bear in there?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, did you hear we bought a house in Lake Como?’ At this point, we’re just like, “Of course, they think I’m inside of a bear costume.

Even though she did not have a cameo, Swift loved Happy Gilmore 2. She promoted the movie through her Instagram account.

Kelce stands close to creating history

Swift’s beau is entering his 13th year in the NFL. He holds several tight end and receiving records. There’s a chance he may add to his already illustrious list.

According to The 33rd Team, Kelce currently sits third in all-time receiving yards by a tight end, behind Dallas Cowboys legend Jason Witten. Witten ended his career with 13,046 yards, and Kelce currently stands at 12,151 yards. The 3x Super Bowl winner needs just over 800 yards to leap over Witten.

However, Kelce still has miles to go before his predecessor, Tony Gonzalez, who amassed 15,127 during his time in the NFL.

After recording seven consecutive 1000-yard seasons since 2016, Kelce has failed to cross that threshold in the last two seasons. In 2024, his season concluded with 97 receptions for 823 yards and 3 touchdowns.
