Last week on WWE NXT Johnny Gargano lost his North American Championship to Leon Ruff. Gargano spinned a wheel last week to select his opponent. The wheel was clearly rigged. Gargano’s plan was to defend his title against a weak opponent. But his plan backfired, when Damien Priest showed up. Gargano got distracted and ended up losing his title.

Gargano tried to reason with NXT General Manager William Regal that it was just a joke and not a sanctioned match. But Regal refused to interfere in the matter. WWE NXT’s official Twitter handle has now announced that Gargano will be getting an opportunity to win his title back on the upcoming NXT episode.

Can Gargano win the title back?

Gargano replied to NXT’s tweet. He looks confident to defeat Ruff in their upcoming bout. But at the same time, we cannot rule out the possibility of Damien Priest showing up again.

Gargano had defeated Damien Priest on NXT’s Halloween Havoc to win the North American Title. Interestingly, the title has changed hands twice in three weeks. It will be on the line this week too.

Additionally, Io Shirai will also be defending her NXT Women’s title against Rhea Ripley. This is not all. NXT Champion Finn Balor is returning to NXT this week. NXT airs every Wednesday night.
