The MLB Network on Thursday revealed the top-10 shortstop in the big leagues. In the past few days, they have done these rankings for several positions on the field. This time they shared the best shortstops in the game. New York Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. would drop a one-word reaction to it.

The Shedder, the tool that helps the MLB Network to rank players, listed some of the top names of the league in this list. Baltimore Orioles star Gunnar Henderson was named the No.1 player behind Corey Seager and Francisco Lindor. On fourth came Bobby Witt Jr., who had an amazing season with the Kansas City Royals in 2024.

Mookie Betts, Dansby Swanson, Carlos Correa, Elly De La Cruz, Willy Adames, and Trea Turner completed the list. These rankings have left the fans angry as many started to debate regarding it.

Chisholm Jr. was also among those who did not seem pleased with this. Whether he was upset about the rankings particularly or that his teammate Anthony Volpe was left off the list is unknown, he did let his voice be heard. He dropped a simple one-word message to this ranking.

Wtf??

He though was not the only MLB star who reacted to this rankings. Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker brought up Ichiro Suzuki missing out on unanimous induction into the Hall of Fame by one vote while discussing this list.

Has anyone ever seen The Shredder and the guy who didn’t vote for Ichiro in the same room?

This message from Rooker led to further discussions regarding this list by the MLB Network. Rooker would also have a hilarious exchange with Jack Flaherty after this tweet as he jokingly asked him to either join the A’s or some National League side after the pitcher complimented him for his tweets.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. backs Atlanta Braves star for getting snubbed from top-10 second baseman ranking

The top-10 shortstop list was not the only one on which Jazz Chisholm Jr. reacted. A few days ago he made his feelings known regarding the top-10 second baseman ranking and backed an Atlanta Braves star after he got snubbed from the rankings.

As per the rankings, Chisholm Jr. was placed fifth in this list. The top three spots belonged to Ketel Marte, Jose Altuve, and Marcus Semien. While he agreed with the top three, he was not pleased to see Braves’ star Ozzie Albies not making it into the top-10.

While re-posting this tweet on X, the Yankees star pointed out that some of the people do not even play in that position. He himself has played in both second and third base position.

I’m ‘ok’ with the top 3….but some of these guys don’t even play 2b. Slighting Ozzie for multiple yrs is an abomination!

Albies only played in 99 games in the 2024 season as he struggled with injuries. He batted with a .251 average and managed to hit 10 home runs and drove in 53 runs. His absence though was felt on the Braves roster as star man Ronald Acuna Jr. also missed a huge section of the season due to an ACL tear.
