The Lakers hosted the Thunder at Crypto.com Arena in a reverse fixture after winning on the road days earlier. This time, OKC came out on top in a drama-filled fourth quarter—once again, Luka Doncic stole the spotlight.

Although Doncic made headlines last time around for his match-winning performance, this time it did not end well for him. The Lakers star got ejected after receiving 2 technical fouls, the second one came late in 4th quarter. This was due to a back-and-forth with a Thunder fan courtside. After making a shot, Doncic could be spotted chirping something towards the fan.

However, Doncic’s bad luck got him this time because the referee was standing just in line with the fan, making it look like the Slovenian was chirping at the referee instead. Per ‘The Daniel Bell’ on X, the fan on the courtside claimed that Luka’s shot was brief, and he replied with: “F**k you b**ch.” On Doncic’s part, the referee completely got it wrong.

However, the NBA community is praising the Thunder fan for his antics towards Donic. In addition, The OKC Thunder fan, Jeremy Price, has been involved in many courtside trash talks with Doncic as per various reports. Despite this, the referee ejected Doncic.

As for the game, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander‘s (42 points) 13th 40-point performance of the season, along with 26 points from Jalen Williams and 17 from Luguentz Dort, helped the No. 1-ranked Thunder exact revenge on the Lakers two days after they had lost by 27 points.

On the other hand, the Lakers battled hard but came up short due to Doncic’s ejection late in the 4th quarter. The game was at 109-107, with the Lakers leading when Doncic got ejected, causing a turnaround in the game. This possibly led to the Lakers’ main reason for their home defeat to the Thunder.

The Lakers star felt dejected after the officials ejected him during the 4th quarter of the Lakers-Thunder matchup. By the looks of it, Doncic did not commit any mistake that warranted his ejection from the game. Doncic attempted to clarify that he was speaking to a fan rather than referee JT Orr. But there was nothing he could do to overturn the decision; he was out of the game.

Doncic got his second technical with 7:40 remaining. “A weird couple of minutes after that,” was how James described it.
