Oklahoma City Thunder on course to become ‘NBA dynasty’ with Isaiah Hartenstein and Alex Caruso

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been making headlines recently after their additions to their roster. This caught the attention of analysts and fans worldwide. Notably, Skip Bayless was one of them, and also hailing from the same city of Oklahoma, Bayless seems pretty confident regarding the Thunder going into the upcoming NBA season.

The Thunder just signed seven-foot center Isaiah Hartenstein, adding to their defense, which includes Chet Holmgren, and Alex Caruso. According to the Fox Sports expert, the Thunder team, with seven-foot rim defenders like Hartenstein and Holmgren protecting the paint, might be a challenge to the opponent. Caruso on the contrary, could contribute to perimeter protection.

That sound you hear is THUNDER. By adding Caruso's proven toughness to Dort and the perimeter D and Hartenstein's paint physicality to complement Chet, OKC is now my favorite to REPRESENT THE WESTERN CONFERENCE IN NEXT YEAR'S NBA FINALS.

The Thunder had a tremendous season in 2023-24, finishing first in the highly competitive Western Conference. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished second in the MVP race, and Holmgren was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Unfortunately, the Thunder were unable to proceed beyond the Western Conference semi-finals, as the Mavericks defeated them in six games.

Skip Bayless once faced the wrath of Thunder fans after criticizing former Thunder player

The Fox Sports Presenter, Skip Bayless is one of the biggest fans as well as the critics of the Oklahoma City Thunder side in the Western Conference of the NBA. Notably, current Los Angeles Clippers star Russell Westbrook was once heavily criticized by Bayless during the Thunder’s 2012 NBA Finals run on his show, although this did not go down well with the Thunder fans.

Bayless stated he experienced “so many death threats” from Thunder fans as a result of his criticism of former Thunder player, Westbrook, who remains popular to this day. When First Take hosted its show in Oklahoma City for the first two matches of the championship series versus Miami, Bayless got a bodyguard as a result.

On the other hand, the OKC Thunder side is shaping up into a good team for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season, with many top-notch additions to their side. Interestingly, It’s no secret that the Paul George and Westbrook trades resulted in an abundance of future first-round draft picks for the Thunder, which turned out to be a bonus for the franchise.
