The recently filed Ring Boys Scandal has put Vince McMahon back under the lens of scrutiny. The suit alleges some horrible actions by the former WWE chairman, and it appears that more people were affected by his negligence than just the ring boys, including WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper.

After the Ring Boys Scandal broke out, fans started circulating old footage from Piper, who may have also been a victim of similar acts. The footage in question is over 10 years old, from an interview in April 2014 with Kayfabe Commentaries.

The Hot Rod began talking about how Pat Patterson did not like him. He began narrating an incident from when he was 21 years old, and something happened in the Olympic Auditorium. However, he stopped himself and claimed that he needed to be “a man about these things.”

Fans had never seen Piper’s demeanor in such demeanor ever before. He shifted his gaze downwards and started speaking in a depressed tone. Roddy Piper recalled how he had been in the industry since he was only fifteen years old. He added that being so young in the professional wrestling business can be tough.

The interviewer asked him whether it was a political thing, and perhaps Patterson tried to suppress his growth in the business. The Canadian denied this statement without providing much clarity. However, he said that he was a “pretty little boy” back then and blamed himself for what had happened.

What was the Ring Boys Scandal involving Vince McMahon?

Five former ‘Ring Boys’ who worked for WWE in the past recently filed an anonymous suit against Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, and TKO Group Holdings. These former employees accused the company of being negligent towards the systemic and widespread abuse of underage children.

The lawsuit claims that former ring announcer Mel Philips s*xually abused younger ring boys who once worked with the company. He specifically targeted those children who came from broken homes and promised that he would make them meet their favorite wrestlers. Allegedly, many higher-ups within the company, including Vince McMahon, knew all about these actions but never did anything to stop them.

McMahon’s legal team has since responded to these claims. They completely denied all allegations and recalled how several accusations have been brought up against the creator of WrestleMania in the past as well. However, they have never proven to be true.
