Ole Gunnar Solskjær vows to give Manchester City a tough fight in the title race
Manchester United slipped to a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Sunday night to further dampen their title race hopes.
Manchester City defeated Tottenham Hotspur by three goals to nil to further extend their lead and gain momentum by registering sixteen wins on the trot.
United are 7 points off City at the top
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær says they will not let Manchester City run away with the Premier League title that easily and will ensure to out up a good fight.
Although it sounds all nice, in reality the current United squad is nowhere near to the quality of Pep Guardiola’s men. Depending on just one player is not really a title charge and when you’ve got defenders not even worth playing in Sunday leagues the job ain’t that easy.
With a seven points lead and moreover a game in hand it is totally Manchester City’s title to lose. United travel to the Etihad stadium on March 6th and will try to win for the first time against their rivals for the first time this season after losing in the Carabao Cup and drawing at home in the League.
“I said we shouldn’t be talked about [in the title race].
“[It’s] a compliment for the boys we got into the position we are now. “We won’t let them run away with it – we’re playing them soon. We’re not giving it away early – no we’re not.”
Let’s just build momentum and win games,” he said. “[City] are in good form. Us and Leicester have to put up a fight.”
