The boxing community buzzed with joy after rumors suggested Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez might face off. However, the fight hasn’t been officially announced. Subsequently, Crawford’s close friend and reigning undisputed heavyweight world champion, Oleksandr Usyk, shared his thoughts on the potential bout. 

During an appearance on the 3 Knockdown Rule podcast, Usyk predicted the highly anticipated match. When asked about the potential outcome, the Ukrainian had several reasons to back Crawford in a fight against Alvarez. As such, the undisputed heavyweight champion then proceeded to justify his claims.

Even though Crawford weighs less, he will still emerge victorious inside the ring, according to Usyk. He mentioned that the American was a clever opponent who was outstanding at keeping his distance. Furthermore, the Ukrainian highlighted Terence Crawford‘s skill in countering attacks and his strategic approach to boxing. Essentially, he thinks these traits render Crawford a superior combatant compared to the super middleweight division.

In addition, Usyk stated that while Crawford excels in the Southpaw stance, his capacity to transition to a standard stance and unleash a barrage of attacks is genuinely unparalleled. Usyk also referred to the Errol Spence Jr. fight, where Crawford demonstrated his skills.

The latest episode stood out for dedicated fans of the 3 Knockdown Rule show. This is because the undisputed world heavyweight champion, Usyk, unexpectedly showed up. Subsequently, Usyk also predicted the light heavyweight fight between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev.

The fight was postponed, but it is still a highly anticipated fight set up by Saudi Arabia. A vast majority of people widely believe and favor the idea that Beterbeiv will win. This is because he is known as an aggressive power puncher with a 100% knockout rate. However, Usyk picked Bivol as the clear favorite to emerge victorious in the match.

Usyk also spoke about Bivol’s usual Soviet boxing style. It emphasizes the use of precise and quick movements with a constant momentum. Furthermore, Uysk remains sure of Bivol’s necessary skills to defend against Artur Beterbiev‘s attacks. This is because of Bivol’s elegant footwork and outstanding skills in returning punches. It remains to be seen if Usyk predicted the matchup correctly or not.
