Despite being a former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo opted for a more traditional wedding gown. She wanted to honor her husband Christian McCaffrey’s religious beliefs.
According to Vogue, Culpo wore a “Dolce & Gabbana long-sleeve, crewneck crepe ball gown with a voluminous skirt and button-lined back.”
Couples go to various lengths to make their wedding different from the norm. From destination weddings to modern clothing, the internet is filled with ceremonies that stand out.
Culpo to make the day special for her McCaffrey, curated a dress that showcased the religious and traditional values. Her intention was never to come off as flashy or indecent.

The dress had a long 16-foot lace attached on the back end and Culpo gracefully wore it with a pair of diamond earrings. She wanted to make the dress look effortless as if it was an extension of her personality.
I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it’s complementing me, not overpowering me. There’s so much beauty and simplicity.Olivia Culpo added
To compliment Culpo’s dress, Christian McCaffrey wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt and a bow tie. Some of the photos from Culpo’s social media account reminded how the bride and groom used to look back in the day.
Olivia Culpo revealed she felt an overwhelming sense of peace during the ceremony
Adhering to McCaffrey’s wishes, the pair chose to take their vows at 150-year-old Watch Hill Chapel in Rhode Island. The establishment is situated in a quaint little neighborhood with serene surroundings for guests to enjoy the old-world charm.
Culpo remembered being excited about the vows with McCaffrey but also felt calm and peace. Guests flocked to the Chapel to catch a glimpse of the lucky couple.

Several of McCaffrey’s 49ers teammates and colleagues attended the ceremony. From George Kittle and his wife Claire to Kyle Juszczyk and his wife Kristin, there were a lot of familiar faces.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan appeared in a completely different look which caught the eye of social media. McCaffrey’s former Carolina Panthers teammate Greg Olsen seemed absolutely wasted in the after-wedding party.
So far there are hardly any details about where the newlywed couple would venture off for their honeymoon. They have until the end of July because the San Francisco 49ers will likely begin their training camp on the 25th or 26th of July.
