LSU star gymnast Olivia Dunne recently appeared at ESPYS, dazzling the crowd with a shimmering golden gown at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday. During a rapid-fire interview, she talked about her favorite athlete, song, movie, actress, and much more.

‘Livvy’ revealed that Olympian Nastia Liukin was her favorite athlete growing up, apart from Simone Biles. Liukin once defended Dunne when social media criticized her swimsuit outfit for a magazine take.

Dunne is not only an LSU gymnast but also a social media influencer. Boasting 13+ million followers on her social platform, the 21-year-old became the first NIL athlete to partner up with WME Sport’s agencies, among several others.

While fame and spotlight favored the young gymnast, criticisms also followed. Among many influencers and athletes who supported Dunne’s brand-building and career, Liukin was one of her strongest backers. She noted,

I can’t imagine being Livvy’s age –20– and going through many of the things I find myself going through in my early 30s…There’s definitely a double standard at play.

Dunne also has been quite critical of haters and has time and again stood up against them. She became one of the leading forces for NIL endorsements and even encouraged other college athletes to learn the new gen tricks and tips. 

Olivia Dunne chooses softball as alternate career if not for love of gymnastics

While talking about her favorites in an ESPYS interview, Olivia Dunne revealed that she would have chosen softball for her career if not for her love of gymnastics. However, the LSU star is not sure if that would’ve been good for her career profile.

In a June 14 post on her Instagram account, she showcased elegant flips on the beam, while on the other hand, she captured her clumsy shots at baseball. Livvy missed quite a few shots, as she captioned the baseball video as “okay now hit the ball”.

To the question, of which is Dunne’s favorite song before a game, she credited her friends saying, “Any of my teammates playlist, they’re such hype songs.” Following the ESPYS, Dunne is rumored to be present during the MLB All-Star Game to support her boyfriend Paul Skenes.

Both of them can often be seen cheering for each other at different events. Fans are hyped to see their favorite couple on the field, as Skenes gets ready to light up the All-Star Games.
