Olivia ‘Livvy’ Dunne was baffled to see how the Pittsburgh Pirates managed to open the floodgates against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday. The team had a solid 10-3 start to the game, following her boyfriend Paul Skenes’ outing.  

The star pitcher exited the game after tossing five innings and adding a strong lead which seemed to have been an easy win if the Pirates did not start collapsing from the seventh inning. In the seventh inning, the team gave up a two-lead spot, followed by two runs and three HRs.

Disaster struck to its fullest during the final period where the Pirates blew their remaining chances to record a stupefying 10-14 loss against the Cubs. Shortly after Livvy Dunne took to social media, posting a “You gotta be kidding me” GIF featuring her boyfriend Paul Skenes.

The post gained more than 4+ million views as fans started supporting her statement about the upsetting outcome. One even stated, “Cubs own Skenes,” while others commented on how Pirates may not be the team for Paul Skenes.

Comments came flooding in after Livvy Dunne took to social media to express her frustration. The fans chimed in as it was not only the first time the team had done so.

According to reports, it’s the third time, the Pittsburgh Pirates blew a lead to win a game despite Paul Skenes’ strong start in the game. It clearly was a reason for many to feel frustrated, even more for his girlfriend.

Dunne did not comment any further or engage with the topic anymore, but her simple 5-word GIF said it all. Some even said that she might have done a better job than what the team did. Skenes will get another chance on the diamond to seek redemption, but whether the team can hold up to the expectations is still questionable.
