The name Simone Biles is well-known across the gymnastics world. The American star has impressed audiences on numerous occasions with her special moves. She currently leads the tally for the most Olympic medals won by a gymnast. However, her story of success might have not begun if she had not visited a daycare trip field.

Biles has previously openly admitted to the harsh conditions she grew up with. Her mother was reported to a drug addict which led to her being dropped at a foster-care center. She spent three years there before being adopted. The 26-year-old recently opened up about the troubles she went through on her Facebook Watch series, “Simone vs Herself“.

The first time I was exposed to gymnastics really was the day-care field trip,” Biles started off. She added that she had not seen any form of gymnastics before on TV or in magazines. “I just remember imitating all the older girls in the back gym and seeing if I could do it while I was in the front gym,” the gymnast added before mentioning how much fun she had.

It comes as a surprise to many to find out about her beginnings. The world might have missed out on the chance to see the genius of Biles if she did not attend that field. After taking a long two-year break, she is back in action and is back dominating the sport.

There is hardly any doubt that Simone Biles will go down as one of the greatest gymnasts the world has seen. Her spell-binding performances continue to stun the fans. This year she made her return to the field after taking a two-year break. During her return, she showed no signs of rust as she won the US Classic. She has now won her eighth all-around title following her triumph in the US Gymnastics Championships.

This historic moment came a decade after she graced the big stage. Since then she has not turned back and continues to venture forward with high speed. She would finish the all-around two-day event with a total of 118.40 points. This helped her finish four points ahead of runner-up Shilese Jones.

The newlywed Biles is now all set to appear for the Olympic games next year. In the form she is in right now, the others would have to raise their game if they were to stop her from snatching gold again at the marquee event.
